Spain national football team's goalscoring chart consists of some of the greatest superstars in history.
Even though Spain have always had some of the finest talent around in the game at their disposal, their national team traditionally flattered to deceive.
Perennial pre-tournament favourites. Perennial post-tournament underachievers.
That all changed in 2008.
They won the Euros that year, went on to lift the World Cup two years later, only to then successfully defend their European title in 2012.
Their brilliant midfield played a massive role in that successful run, with the likes of Xavi and Andres Iniesta dominating play in the middle, but people often underestimate the attacking talent at hand.
David Villa was a prolific goalscorer and so was Fernando Torres in his prime.
Those two were by no means Spain's first great attackers, though.
There was Raul. Emilio Butragueno. Alfredo Di Stefano. The list goes on and on.
But who is Spain's most lethal attacker ever?
Let's take a look at the legends leading their all-time goalscoring charts!

One of the greatest strikers Spain has produced, David Villa is their highest-ever goalscorer on the international stage.
Featuring in four major tournaments for his country, Villa played a crucial role in the Spanish teams who lifted the Euro 2008 and FIFA World Cup 2010 trophies.
The forward scored four goals at Euro 2008 and netted five times at the 2010 World Cup on his way to scoring a total of 59 goals in 98 appearances in his international career.

Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez made his debut for Spain against Czech Republic in October 1996 and scored his first goal in a 2-0 win against Yugoslavia two months later.
Raul went on to score 44 goals in 102 matches, six of which were scored at major tournaments.
His greatest goalscoring performance in a Spain shirt came in the Euro 2000 qualifiers, when he scored four goals and provided three assists in Spain's 9-0 win against Austria.
3Fernando Torres | 38 goals
Torres fired himself into the history books at Euro 2008 when he scored the winning goal in the final against Germany.
Two years later, he also played a part in Spain's 2010 World Cup final win against Netherlands.
Torres featured as a substitute in the Euro 2012 final against Italy, scoring one goal and assisting another to lead Spain to consecutive European Championship titles. He also won the Golden Boot at the tournament with three goals and one assist.
The Atletico Madrid legend scored 38 goals and provided 10 assists in 110 games for Spain.

Fourth on the list of Spain's all-time top scorers is David Silva with 35 goals in 124 games.
Silva's first goals for Spain came when he scored a brace in a 2-3 win against Greece in August 2007.
The creative midfielder won Euro 2008, Euro 2012 and the World Cup 2010 with the Spanish national team, playing a crucial role in the two European Championships.
