The five-time Ballon d'Or winner had a wonderful season in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr as he finished as the top scorer in the league. However, that form has not transferred to his Euro 2024 campaign as he has only managed to secure one assist and failed to find the back of the net in the group stages of the competition. Regardless, he has sent a message on Instagram ahead of Portugal's last-16 clash against Slovenia.

A lot of questions have been raised to Roberto Martinez regarding Ronaldo's spot in the starting eleven due to his form for the country through the last two major tournaments, including the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he failed to deliver and was subsequently dropped by then-boss Fernando Santos. However, Martinez has maintained that the five-time Champions League winner will not be left out.
